John Gidding

We are pleased to welcome John Gidding, host of HGTV’s Curb Appeal, as the featured speaker to the 2013 PA Garden Expo. John is originally from Istanbul, Turkey, got his start as a fashion model and worked the runways for Armani and Gucci. Later, John put his education and design skills to work as host and designer for a TV series about hip teens looking to update their spaces. He also worked as a lead designer on HGTV’s popular series Designed to Sell. As owner of the New York City-based John Gidding Design Inc., John has done numerous residential renovations there and around the country.

Gidding holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in architecture from Yale University along with a master's degree in architecture from Harvard's Graduate School of Design.

Rose  Franklin

Rose Franklin lives in Spring Mills, Centre County, Pennsylvania. For the past 20 years, she has been gardening for butterflies, photographing butterflies, raising butterflies, and writing about butterflies. In August, 2012, Rose published a book entitled Fast Track Butterfly Gardening, which is now available on Amazon.com for $22.95. Signed copies of the book will be offered to PA Garden Expo attendees immediately following the presentation for $20.00 each.
